Digital RTP Group Leader Interviews

We are conducting an interview study analysing how groups of digital Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) operate in different contexts. This is part of addressing our aim to improve career and training opportunities for aspiring leaders in this space. These interviews with those who already lead such groups will be used to produce reports on the range of career structures and operational models in use. There is no single optimal approach to underpin sustainable digital RTP careers (having a role to move into) and skills development (knowing how to get there). This study will help us understand what factors are important and share what has worked before, and so inform future work in the project and our funding calls.

A participant information sheet with more details is available online, as are the questions we will cover. The study has been approved by UCL Research Ethics Committee (Approval ID Number: 1615). If you are leading a group of digital RTPs, of any kind, and would like to be interviewed, then contact us and we’ll arrange a suitable time.
